Hello satoshi snipers!
As you already know, via the Trading Library, I really only need a handful of tools to get my work done — which is incredible if you think about it because the possibility of making as much money as you need (or want) via a few, simple tools is just so stinkin’ awesome I can’t even help myself whuttttttttt.
(-‸ლ)
There are two primary applications: TradingView and Bitget. These two provide all that I need and they also have complimentary mobile apps that I use as well. Today I want to show you how it’s entirely possible to trade via the mobile apps successfully!
So, let’s set up a trade, shall we?
A few days ago I spotted an opportunity for a short order and so I was able to use the TradingView mobile app to add my notations — as you can see above — and begin my typical process of opening an order via Bitget.
The mobile app is easy to use and I put in an order at $30,220:
And quickly I found that I was in profit! Great, so now I could continue to track the trade as well as the growing, unrealized P/L and begin to add Take Profit and Stop Loss orders on the mobile app as well.
So, that’s what I did, starting with the stop loss:
I can manually adjust it up and down via explicit figures or use their easy slide / scaling feature to find the right number.
Now, the hard part… we wait.
And… wait…
And… wait…
And then I got a notice that I was “stopped out” in the trade! Doh! I quickly opened up the TradingView mobile app to confirm the notification:
Whoops! See that massive spike up at the last second before the dive? Ugh. Too bad. I opened up my Bitget mobile app and discovered that it was true: I was stopped out and had lost a few bucks on the trade.
I would have to settle with an “L” on this one:
The cost of this losing trade was ~$75, not including fees. But, if that last “scam wick” hadn’t blown my trade up it would have been very, very profitable!
Sometimes that’s just the luck of the draw. More importantly though was the fact that I now knew, with 100% certainty, that if all I had was my mobile phone — which almost never leaves my body — I’d be able to successfully pull of winning trades and make the money I need.
And that assurance of my fundamental workflow means everything to me and I’d gladly “pay the price” to figure it out and make sure that it’s a real means of execution and profit. What a win.
We live in incredible times my friends; I can’t believe what we get to do with our lives and the optionality that bitcoin has enabled for us as creators of content and prosperity. I’m so grateful for simple tools that can get the job done.
To infinity & bitcoin,
